- 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
- 1 1/2 cups cold water
- 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz)
- 2 cups heavy cream, whipped
- 1 box vanilla wafers (12 oz)
- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and water, then stir in the vanilla pudding mix until well blended.
2. Cover and let the mixture chill in the refrigerator for at least 5 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, whip the heavy cream until it forms stiff peaks, then fold it into the pudding mixture.
4. Add the vanilla extract and stir gently.
5. In a 9x13 inch dish, layer the vanilla wafers and sliced bananas.
6. Pour half of the pudding mixture over the cookies and bananas.
7. Repeat the layering process with the remaining cookies, bananas, and pudding mixture.
8. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
9. Serve chilled and enjoy!
Tips:
- For a firmer pudding, use less water when preparing the instant vanilla pudding mix.
- If you prefer a sweeter banana pudding, add a tablespoon of sugar to the whipped cream.
- You can substitute vanilla wafers with graham crackers or shortbread cookies.
- Cover the banana slices with lemon juice to prevent them from turning brown.
